March 💌

How nice and special that you are (again) part of this edition of the Happy Mail Club! ✨ For the February edition, I added a real letter to the happy mail for once. There is something beautiful about seeing the letters on paper and actually holding the letter in your hands. But this time I also created an online blog again. You can add photos there, which is also a really fun addition!

The great thing about happy mail is that I can get creative with it every time and vary what I think fits the theme at that moment.

For this edition, I was inspired by the calm, rural life on a farm, where spring slowly comes back to life. The first rays of sunshine falling over the fields, fresh mornings with dew on the grass, and small signs everywhere that nature is awakening. Everything starts to grow, bloom, and gain color again.

A big change...

A lot has been happening behind the scenes over the past few weeks. About 1.5 years ago, Finest Treasure started from our apartment, in a small part of my wardrobe. It quickly grew, and I moved to the attic at my parents' house (my old bedroom), but even there it became too small after a few months. It wasn’t a large space, and everything had to be carried up to the attic each time, which wasn’t ideal with all those (heavy) boxes.

Then a new place came our way, where we could even get extra space to continue growing. But now we have to move out of there on short notice, so suddenly it became quite stressful to quickly find a new, suitable place. A space where we can not only settle now but also grow in the future. Because a move like this… it’s really no small thing.

Secretly, I’m a bit apprehensive, but at the same time, I’m so excited. To start fresh, set everything up, and make something really beautiful out of it. And how great: this new place is in Soesterberg, so I’ll be able to bike there soon! Of course, I’ll take you along throughout this whole process via my socials. 📦✨

Boyd has turned 30!

I also want to put someone in the spotlight, because Boyd (my boyfriend) just turned 30! 🥳

Without him, Finest Treasure wouldn’t look the way it does now. Behind the scenes, he does so much. He maintains contact with our suppliers, ensures that everything in logistics runs more efficiently, and of course helps with packing the orders (so there’s a good chance he’s packed your package 😉). He’s always ready to help wherever needed. And sometimes he gives me just the little push or kick in the pants that I need. I’m incredibly perfectionistic and can spend hours on something, while he’s all about stepping on the gas and getting big piles of work done. Together, that’s the perfect combination, and we complement each other exactly where needed.

And that’s so great, because by now I really can’t do it all alone anymore.

No big party, but...

Something we actually always do is plan our vacations, day trips, and outings around the Happy Mail Club. We make sure that during the weeks of going live and shipping, we have all the time, attention, and focus to make everything run as smoothly as possible. Those are always the busiest, but also the most fun weeks.

Boyd had long wished not to celebrate his 30th birthday with a big party, but rather together with friends on the slopes in Austria. Only… that happened to fall exactly in the week of Happy Mail. 😅 So in the past few weeks, we have worked really hard to pack everything in advance and prepare as many packages as possible, so that it was still possible to do this.

Grateful for the help ❤️

I also want to take a moment to highlight my mother, because she really helps a lot behind the scenes. She helps with packing all the individual Happy Mail Club bags, processing orders, brainstorming new creative ideas, and always provides support whenever needed.

This week, she is working hard again to ensure the webshop can stay open and that all Happy Mail packages are shipped properly.

I truly find it special to have such kind people around me who help and make this possible together with me! 💛

Paper Treasure ✨

For a fun project together with Be Creative Shop, I made a booklet with images to create a vision board. I also placed these booklets on the table during workshops, and there was so much demand that I have now created a new booklet with all kinds of fun images and scraps to cut out and use in your journal. Ideal if you want to quickly make a page without first searching for images and printing them out. More versions will probably follow in the future, but you now have this one first!

KreaDoe Spring Festival 🩷

Whiii, we will be at the KreaDoe Spring Festival again this year. The past editions were really a party, and we are already busy with all the preparations.

This time we have an even bigger booth, which we will set up as a cute little shop. During the last KreaDoe, our booth was actually too small, and there was constantly a line at the checkout running through the whole shop. Hopefully, we can set it up more spaciously this time, so there is more room to move around.

Over the past few months, I have worked on many new products. From idea to design, finding suppliers, sample rounds, and making sure everything is ready on time. But now I can proudly say that it has succeeded, and we are going to launch really cool new products at KreaDoe!!

In addition, I will be giving an interview and journal workshop every day from 2:00 to 2:30 PM on the main stage at KreaDoe. I would of course love it if you come to watch! 💖

I also have something fun for you; through the button below, you can buy your tickets for the KreaDoe Spring Festival at a discount:

Inspiration page ⭐️

For this inspiration page, I started with two A5 background papers from the Country Spring paper pad. I cut both of them in half and then switched them, so I could stick them diagonally opposite each other on the page. That immediately gives a playful effect and makes your base much more interesting.

After that, I started working with layers and built up various elements on top of each other. I also finished edges with washi tape for that little extra detail.

On the journal card, I wrote a small text. Recently, I saw some really nice punch cards on Pinterest, but of course, those aren’t very practical for your journal. That’s why I made my own version with little stars, which perfectly fit the star stickers. Super fun to add a kind of tracker to your page this way.

KreaDoe asked me to create a page for the KreaDoeBook, and I designed these tracker cards for it. It’s a fun way to give yourself that extra push to get creative.

I find it really so special that I got to contribute to this 🥹 You’ll also find an interview with me in the book and even a sticker sheet with my illustrations. (No idea if I was allowed to share this yet, but this really feels like my online group of friends, so I’m just sharing it with you all already hihi ♡)

I’m very curious what you think of this edition and would love it if you share something! Don’t forget to tag us so we can repost it (@finesttreasure.nl) 💕 Thanks again for your support and see you in the next happy mail 🥰💌
