How great that you are part of this edition of the Happy Mail Club (again)! ✨ Behind the scenes, a lot of hard work went into putting all the packages together. But it was so worth it! This package is even fuller than the previous edition, and we did our very best to make it something really awesome again. The bags also match the theme so well, it really completes it. And apparently, you all thought so too, because... everything was completely sold out within 40 minutes! 😱 It really amazes me, and I’m so surprised. Especially since this time we made a bit more than last time, and even now I received messages that some people unfortunately missed out. Luckily, you were on time and managed to get one!
I already have so many new, creative plans for the next editions... What exactly they are? That will remain a surprise for now 😉 Have lots of fun unpacking, journaling, and reading this blog!
Journal Buddies 💝
I am so excited to share these brand new blind bags with you! I really love mystery packages. The concept is a bit inspired by the big Labubu hype (which is everywhere now), but funny enough, we were already busy with it before the hidden treasures of Nijntje were launched!
Over the past few weeks, we have worked incredibly hard on this project. I designed and came up with everything myself. My mother came up with the seed idea, and together we developed it during a brainstorming session. We wrote everything down, invented, and designed it. Then we searched for matching items that you can funnily incorporate into your journal pages. And you even get a charm and prompt that fits the little animal, so fun to get inspiration for a journal page.
Then it got really exciting when I also started designing the packaging myself and even bought a sealing device, so it really gives that unboxing feeling. It was quite an investment, but it turned out exactly as I hoped – and I am so happy about that!
Behind the scenes ⭐
Over the past few months, we have been incredibly busy behind the scenes. So many exciting things are coming very soon! 🎉
The booklets will be released soon in multiple colors – and luckily, it won’t take much longer. They are going to be so fun, and I’m really looking forward to launching them.
In addition, there is another very cool product in production. I can’t say everything about it yet, but I can reveal that a lot of time and attention is going into it. Think of multiple sample rounds and a lot of fine-tuning to get it just right. But it’s fully in development. And I can’t wait to share it with you soon.
And as if that’s not enough: there will also be new washi tapes, new sticker sheets, and I’m already working on all kinds of other ideas for the fall. So there’s a lot bubbling up!
Shout-out to my mom 🌸
This edition is truly one that I look back on with immense pride because I find the package so lovely. The fact that everything worked out is largely thanks to my mother. She has been such an important part of the whole process. She came up with the very first idea for the mystery packages, and we worked incredibly hard together to pack each package with a lot of love.
And where at the beginning (October 2024) we found it a huge task to pack 25 packages, we are now up to 200 pieces. Crazy, right? We keep looking for ways to work more efficiently, and she has also come to help me more.
Over the past few weeks, we have been sitting side by side (designing, assembling, packing), and I am so grateful to her. Without her, this really wouldn’t have been possible. 💛
This fall: fairs & events
I’m already getting a lot of questions about whether we will be at trade shows this fall. I’m busy working on that! As soon as I know for sure which trade show I’ll be at, I’ll let you know via my Instagram, newsletter, and other socials. You’ll definitely hear from me once I know more!
In addition, I’m slowly working on organizing creative afternoons and workshops in my creative studio. Hopefully, the first edition can take place in the fall. Of course, I will share all the information with you again through the socials and newsletter.
Party: Happy Mail Club 1 year 🍂
In October, the Happy Mail Club officially turns one year old. That’s why I’m working on a special edition. Think of: a cool magazine included, fun stories, creative ideas, and of course lots of journal items. The October edition will be innovative again and is going to be really awesome!! I think autumn is also one of my favorite seasons for journaling. Cozy with the candles on, a blanket, and a cup of tea. First, I’ll still enjoy the summer, but I’m already looking forward to autumn. I can’t reveal everything about the package yet, but I’m super excited and I hope you are too!
Inspiration page
This journal page is a beautiful reminder of my city trip to Budapest. I brought a map of the city showing all the highlights and used it as a base in the background. In addition, I tore a travel background paper and glued it on the other page. Then I printed photos. On the journal card, I wrote down all the highlights of the trip, including the iconic New York Café, a river cruise, and a dinner at Ape Regina. I also glued a sugar packet from the New York Café on the page.
Decorative elements such as punched-out stars, an ice cream sticker, a stamped and colored suitcase, and washi tape give the whole a playful holiday atmosphere.
Inspiration page
This page is all about comfort, coziness, and creativity. We have given the cute journal buddy Kiki a nice spot in the journal. The illustration with a fireplace, flower vase, cozy hanging chair, and an open book completely conveys the feeling of comfort.
The blanket has been made into a real fabric curtain. A tangible detail that makes the page extra special.
This page is a combination of colored pencil, cut-and-paste work, and fabric. By combining different materials, it feels as if Kiki really has a cozy spot in the journal.
